Game Pass Creator Activations

With the arrival of niche games like Total War: Warhammer 3 and A Plague Tale: Requiem to Xbox Game Pass, we partnered with streamers in those spaces to reach fans. Working with Xbox, we ideated on activations that would tap into the streamer’s skills and appeal while showing off the game itself.

As the ACD on these activations, I oversaw a team of creatives to steer ideation through to delivery. As the creator’s videos went live, the team and I worked on real-time reactions and posts to give out codes and prizes to fans.

Total War: Warhammer 3 | The Ultimate Unboxing

We took unboxing videos to an entirely new level for the arrival of Total War: Warhammer 3 to PC Game Pass. Bringing together a blacksmith (Alex Steele) and a gamer (Jesse Cox) to replicate a giant game-accurate hammer that could smash open a giant stone box with loot inside. This activation included a handoff between Jesse and Alex as they collaborated on the design of the hammer. Then, Alex got to work fabricating the weapon with fire and steel. Finally, we captured the explosive action using a slow motion camera and revealing the swag inside.


A Plague Tale: Requiem | Wheel of Cures

A Plague Tale: Requiem immerses players in the disease-ridden medieval times, where cures were more magic than medicine. We challenged three streamers to survive the game by taking a different plague cure every time their character died. From unicorn tears to leeches to crushed emeralds, we fabricated edible versions of historical medieval plague cures. Then, whenever their character died the girls would spin a custom fabricated wheel to determine which cure they’d take. We also placed special sections on the wheel that would activate Xbox Game Pass codes to drop into chat for viewers watching along.
